From Living Social, to Urban Daddy to Groupon there are plenty of great sites to find deals on date night activities. One of the best things about living in the city is that there are always endless options for exploring something new.
Treasure Island Foods offers cooking classes that are hosted by some of the city's top chefs and they only cost $19 per person for a tasting of 3 courses from the menu and wine.
We enjoyed Jeffrey Mauro's presentation from Jam Restaurant in Logan Square. He taught us how to perfect eggs Benedict and the easiest way to make a smooth Spanish omelet. Who would have thought that their are different cooking terms for the ways in which you stir and fold an omelet? There is nothing like breakfast for dinner and although Jam is known for one of the best breakfast's in town. The head chef is a seasoned professional who offered advice on cooking a variety of dishes.
We cannot wait to go visit the restaurant after having an authentic one on one session with the chef. If you are a foodie in Chicago who hasn't been to a Treasure Island cooking class yet, you can easily sign up on their website:
